Comprehensive system for rescue, escape and evacuation in wind turbines
RescuePack WTG rescue system is configured specifically for rescue, escape and evacuation in the renewables sector. At the core of the system is the Rotor constant rate descender (CRD), an intuitive device which allows 2 person escape / self-evacuation with automatic descent speed control. The Rotor can be used in any orientation and has no external moving parts, reducing the risk of entanglement. The Rotor is fully bidirectional meaning that repeated descents can be carried out in quick succession. The maximum descent height is 500m for 200kg or 220m for 250kg. For more complex rescues, the Rotor can lift a casualty, using the ratchet handle supplied. With the locking mechanism engaged, the load is held if the handle is released, and progress capture is automatic. Kit includes the Rotor rescue descender with raising function, detachable ratchet handle for lifting, rope, karabiners, a selection of anchor strops, rescue pulley for deviations, edge protection and a rope grab for attachment to casualty lanyard or the main line. The complete system is supplied in a robust, sealed protective barrel within an interior hermetically sealed vacuum foil bag, giving the whole system a 10 year life span with simple, easy to use inspection process. From an environmental perspective, the ProSeal extends the useful life, resulting in a more sustainable product, with fewer resources needed over its lifetime. The desiccant Bentonite, is completely natural and fully biodegradable unlike silica which is highly resource intensive and polluting. All contents are protected with a padded lining with inspection instructions included. Also available: 25m, 50m, 100m.
